Only one species in an Aquarium?

I've raised Land Hermit Crabs for a few years, and now I want to raise Marine Hermit Crabs. I have no intention to raise other animals in the aquarium, but should I? Would it hurt my Crabs if they're raised with only other Crabs of their species?

I think all would be fine as long as you provide a lot of empty shells. You may have WW3 in your tank if you dont give them any extra ones LOL

Here's a picture of my crab Luigi eating blueberries. I have two others, but Slim Jim is hiding, and so is Fruit Salad. I'll post other pics once they come out.

I forgot to mention that I have a book about this.......keeping marine hermits was a thing unto itself back in the day.
