We all have them. A coral that should grow just fine in our tanks. But it doesn't. For no good reason. Water parameters fine, lighting fine, everything fine but that one coral that just won't cooperate. Mine are favia. No matter what I do I have no luck. Other LPS like acans grow great. SPS are doing fine. But favia? Forget about it. How about you?

Yep same here. Everything else grows like crazy, but not Red Dragon. Red Dragon and zoas.
I used to not be able to grow zoas. After a tank crash and rehab, now they're growing like crazy. Go figure.

Acans, besides echinatas
It's strange. Acan lords do the best in my tank. Go figure. There's just some intangible no-go in our tanks for certain pieces. There's what 'should' grow fine and then there's what actually does. It's crazy making.

They hate sand on them and think pink spot goby sifting sand messed with them. They always grew n then just stop be fat n healthy then slowly lose tissue. Hopefully better luck in New setup we started.

Known as a fast grower. Mine grow well then die for reasons I can't explain.
When I had them in my tank they were my iodine tester. I knew my iodine was low when they use to start to die off

After fragging, my purple kenya will grow a new branch in the wound area ia a little over a week but like what FDAWG said xenia just arent working out.

I guess Xenia not growing isn't necessarily a bad thing. I've heard they can take over a tank.
