Okay so I bought a Used RO Unit from a guy for $60CAD
The unit is Vertex Puratek 3Stage.
It same with a pressure gauge and filters etc.

It was sitting a while with water in it (is this bad? or can i just rinse some water through it)

I need to get the following for it.

Automatic Shutoff Valve...
2 - 3 Float Valves
Hose Adapter

Is there anyway to add a DI Chamber to this setup?
Anyone Have it and know how many GPD it is?
Anywhere in particular to look for model number or anything?

Thanks in Advance....Pic Pending.

I would change out all filters no matter what.
Surprised it didn't come with a DI but yes you should.
Talk to my good friend Rush at http://www.buckeyehydro.com/ he used to be a sponsor here or the filter guys are awesome too and they are still a sponsor.

You can just run the line to a canister filled with DI resin. You can buy a single canister from Bulk Reef Supply and get color changing DI resin from them. Color changing is nice because it gives you an idea of when the canister is nearing depletion and needs changing.

re you saying that system has the carbon block after the membrane? I am really surprised if it does....
Normally before the membrane you have a few canisters to take out the big elements....
The membrane will take most of the stuff out...
Then you have the di to take out the rest of elements to get 0 TDS

Wouldnt that bypass carbon filter?
