Has anyone ever used this? Is there a right or wrong way to dose? How much does one dose? Any tips would be super!

The key to using this in your tank is to dose it very slow via drip at about 1 drip per second into a 5-10 micron sock until the sock clogs or you start to see the sump get cloudy if the sock clogs and you have not used all your dose and do not see the water become cloudy then you can change the sock and continue. If you start to see any signs of clouding in the sump stop treatment immediately. Most people recommend doing it in your sump right at the drains and before the skimmer. Make sure when you dilute it out using 5ml of seaklear if you have non CR version And ~15ml if you have the CR version to 1 Liter of RODI. This stuff can be deadly if used incorrectly so the general rule is to start with a smaller dose and test phosphates and increase dilution if needed

another tip people recommend is to make the skimmer skim wet and do a "wet skim water change".

Old thread revival

Anyone have a good source for the 5-10 micron socks that are functional with the seaklear drip method?

I appreciate your responses

marine depot has one I believe made for this purpose. But a lot of people get them off ebay. But I don't recall if it's 5-10 or 20... Double check those numbers against other threads.

All the ones I see on EBay are from China and delivery is a deal breaker.
I did see some on Amazon for a little more, I'll probably give those a try
Thx
