Hi, I have been out of the hobby for a while but Im getting back.

Just picked up a shallow(-ish) rimless 90 gallon:

48x24x18 (regular 90g size but sideway)

Stand is still naked; formica is arriving tomorrow, i will snap some pics while i work on it.

It will have a coast to coast internal overflow with two drains: a main and an emergency. I have run full blown bean but not this time.

Drilled two for drains, two for returns.

Its gonna be an SPS dominated tank with biopellet. Keeping it simple and low maintenance. No controller or crazy additives (i have had several Zeovit tanks) and stuff.

Pacific Sun Duina T5 Light
VorTech MP40 QD x1
Tunze return Pump 1073.050 (controllable)
Skimmer with DC pump
Formica wrapped DIY stand (ADA style)

Wish list:
Another MP40 QD
Lots of SPS
Wrasses (not too rare ones..)

Thanks for looking and I will try to keep this thread pic heavy.

Hello, welcome back to the addiction! ;)
Nice Tank!!!

Thanks helen ann, I'm excited to be back!

Nice! May want to reconsider wrasses unless you get a lid. They are even more likely to jump in the shallower tanks!
Thanks! Oh it will have a lid. I wont run any tank without it.

Waiting on an UPS guy (lady) to deliver the formica countertop un-patiently so i can work on this naked stand..

Due to the weather (or whatever), formica didn't come yesterday. So did some plumbing done with some help from the little plumber;

Still waiting on Formica piece by UPS...

But picked up glass panes;
$17 total, not bad. A local glass shop did a great job. They managed to cut them precisely.

The internal overflow box is being glued/siliconed. I wanted the box to be small to keep the low profile, but i had to install the bulkheads and elbows before placing the overflow box.. Pain to work around them..
