Does anyone have plans for a 125g canopy? I have an antique home made canopy that has to be removed every time I work in the tank. It is heavy and also fallimg apart. I am no carpenter, but I can follow instructions. I'd like to make one that either fully opens or at least opens half way.

Planet aquarium 120 rimless tank and stand..I made the hood to both sit on top of the tank as well as mount on the wall via 2x4's mounted in wall studs. I like it and is very functional to hide 2 x 48" reefbrite xho's, 1 kessil ap700 and 2 X 48" t5's.

I see some material descriptions on these builds, but if i am doing a standard wood like pine or oak, do I use marine grade plywood for cabinet? Are there other wood choices that are important? Does anybody use a certain sealant to prevent moisture damage to the wood in the sump area?
