Ya I definitely learned. It just seems I've been hit by so many things lately in my fish tank. I still have four fish, two of them being sand burying wrasse. I honestly don't know if I can treat all of them. I am out of money and don't have space for a qt. I do have a biocube 14 but don't think four fish would be fine in there. The survivors look really healthy. I might just wait and see what happens. Flukes are gone. At least that is some good news. I checked the tank and nothing came out of the gills or anywhere. I think if my remaining fish survive I will not add anymore and just be content with the ones I have left.

I went thru a rough patch with the fish about 10 years ago. I was still in ich/disease management mode back then. Every fish I added to my 120 gal SPS reef died within a month or two. I eventually figured out it was flukes. Didn't even know what flukes were 10 years ago. So, I had to learn. ;)

I just want it to be over. My favorite fish is still alive so that's good. Oh well. I guess I learned my lesson.

Let's say it was internal parasites that did kill my tang. Do they spread? I got the tang out as it was dying. What should I do know?

Ok. Are there any reef safe treatments? I still never saw white stringy poop though from my tang.

If it does get into the water column will that be an issue?

It may irritate your corals/inverts, but it probably won't kill them. Running carbon will mitigate the issue. However, if metro gets released into the water that also means the fish is not ingesting the medicine.

Just found out I had velvet. No standard signs at all just death within 2-4 days and one day of lethargy and hiding.

A ten gal is perfect. U have what 4 fish left? I would be comfortable throwing 10-20" of fish I this size tank for treatment. I doubt ur fish equal that. Again, this is with sick fish that are worried about surviving not about staking out territory.

Prazipro also longnose will treat internal worms.

Prazipro treats gill flukes, black ich (Turbellarians) and some internal worms. Namely, it treats internal tapeworms. But for something like Hexamita you must treat with metronidazole. It is usually impossible to tell the difference without a scope ID. Fortunately, prazi & metro can be safely mixed together - in fact, API General Cure does just that.
