All Corals.

I Never Ever put a Coral in one of my Tanks without a Very Aggressive Dip in Bayer Followed by a close Inspection for Eggs.

I have actually had Corals Die before because I was too Exhausted from the Frag Swap and too Tired to Dip them When I got Home.

So I left the Frags in a Bucket of Heated Water with Intent of Dipping Them the Next Day and Putting them in My Tank.

The Next Day they Were Dead but I Will Not Risk Getting Pests.

I Cannot Stress that Enough.

It is No Joke!
but how do you use Bayer?...ml/gal?...how long?...new corals vs. zoas or other corals with pox...?...just bought it yesterday...

People Do Different Amounts.

If you research its all over the Place Really.

You are not going to Hurt the Coral (I have read about people leaving the corals in the Dip for Hours and Nothing Happened).

Personally I do a 15 Minute Dip.

I use a 2 Gallon Bucket from Home Depot that is marked at One Gallon.

I Fill it with Saltwater and add 4 Ounces of Bayer and Stir it with the Turkey Baster.

I also add a Hydor Koralia 240 Powerhead for Water Movement.

I use a Turkey Baster to Squirt the Corals too.

After 15 Minutes I put them into a Different Two Gallon Bucket with Just Saltwater to Rinse off the Bayer.

Your Welcome :)

I only Test One of them Twice a Day.

The Other 5 get Tested Once a Day.

I do have to run up and down the stairs from the Basement to Upstairs Though as the Tanks are all over the House.

In all I spend about an Hour a Day Testing and Dosing my Tanks.

So that is 7 Hours a Week.

I'd love to have few tanks too atleast a frag tank and a fish room but cannot afford this very moment due to work and locations. my tank need to close down due to house move but can't be asked to do it yet of yet..as it's still a hobby sometime I do enjoy.. :)

Thanks for the great write-up. I have a question about the high lighting. Do you know what the PAR rating is for your zoas?

Your Welcome :)

Unfortunatly I do not have a PAR Meter so I do not know the PAR.
