Something nice for newbies? FAQs in coral sub forums?

I see the LPS, SPS, Zoa, etc forums and I think that from a newbie perspective it is a bit daunting.

Would an LPS FAQ / Common LPS (maybe with pics?) sort of post be possible for someone with the knowledge to put together?

Outline the corals needs for flow, light, etc.

Not nearly as in depth as a coral ID site would do, but at least something general. It seems to me that there is either no information and people talking about a coral or a very in-depth description of it out there. There isn't any in-between that I've seen.

Just a random thought I had. I'm a self-proclaimed coral noob.

Plus 1 one that suggestion. Coral Noob here as well. My 180 Tank will be ready soon. With plans of it being 80% corals.

I agree to this for the nubs :). Most of your questions have answers on the forum, they're just scattered around. Trust me, I know.

Pictures of the coral(if possible) with the care instructions would be very helpful.

Good suggestions so far. I may just go ahead and do a coral and fish database!

Coral and Fish Database sounds cool. There are a lot of those out there already though.

I'm thinking a Coral DB for Noobs instead. Where At the top of each forum there is an "Intro to LPS" - LPS commonly can be kept under X Lighting and need Y Flow.

It seems like the forums right now are focused 99% on "Look at this ultra rare coral I have that no noobie should even start thinking about keeping." It's intimidating!

Rev---- i remember sort of working on this type idea before. with coral info regarding care, requirements, info and a pic.... but then it sort of seemed to die off of people working on it...
i will see if i can find the thread.
i dont think it was by lps, sps, etc. though... i think it was just lumped into one section if i remember correctly...
