I have a gen 3 radion pro that I am going to put the SPS+AB schedule on but I wanted to alter the end of the day to give it more of a sunset. Anyone else use a modified version of this?

It's a pretty easy thing to do just stretch out the time frame and add more points. Let me know if you need any help with it. I did it before and I ended up switching to the mixed reef version with the moonlights.

It's the lps version. It should be preprogrammed under the coral lab setting in eco smart live.

I think it's a solid program for coloring coral but it was too blue for me so I added some t5s to it about 4 weeks after changing to ab+ and started getting really good growth so I can't say its from the ab+ or t5s or both.

I've been running the AB+ modified for the last 4 or 5 months on my xr30 gen 3 pros . I did add some red to the evening set point but mainly I took the 24% red, green and white and ran them up to 80%. I ran that schedule at 100% overall for the last few months( I have the 120' wide angle TIR lenses). I'm surprised very many people run the AB+ without modification, its waaaay too blue for me.

I also run the same set up. I was wondering how long per day you run your t5's?

What Size tank, how many radions, which generation and how far off the water are they mounted? What lighting/schedule were you previously running?

I modified mine to start my full sun period with a 22k then to a 20k then to a 18k to a 20k back to a 22k (over a 5 hour stretch) right before a slow sunset. Been toying around with the idea to spike the 18 to a 14k for an hour but not too sure yet. Going to let this schedule ride out for a couple weeks.

How are your corals doing under 100%? I had mine set @65%, wide angle lenses, and bleached a few corals. What was your ramp start point and duration? I have 2x XR30 Pros and 1x XR15 on a 36x24x19 tank. SPS heavy with LPS corals.
Thx

Are you using the TIR or wide angle lenses? What is your power set at?
Thx

My start point was about 9:00am ending at 7:00pm with about 7 hours at full intensity, the only things i've ever bleached were some maricultured mini colonies from diver's den but that wasn't until I went back to the 80' lenses and added the 4th radion. I found that I could pretty much run my 3 xr30 pro's over my 6 foot tank at 90-100% for 8 hours across all the color channels without any bleaching with the 120' lenses, and did for many months. Makes sense being that ecotech claims a 30% par loss with the 120' lens. The whole reason I got another light is so I could go back to the 80' lens, run a little more of a blue (ab+) schedule at 80% overall with a little less shadowing. So far i've had really good luck with the 4 xr30's, standand lenses, 12-16" off the water, AB+ at 80% overall with the blues all at 100% and the final three colors modified to 35%white/30% green/35%red, standard ab+ photo period. -Joey

i run the SPS AB+, i used to run at 100% , had good growth and color, but a friend of mine told me to try to reduce that, i now run at 75%, some of my corals just exploded colors wise, and did not see any impact on growth. With PAR meter i have 250-300 PAR at top and 150-200 mid section ans 100-150 bottom. my tank is 20'' deep.

Is it the intensity you run at 75%?? It is 70% from the beginning (after til acclimation), so I'll stick with that also :)
