Reefbrite's I believe come in 72 inches or u could split it up into two 36 inch fixtures or three twenty inch fixtures
so I currently have a 48 in for my 90G would it be dumb to just buy a 24 inch? I'm worried about the light matching. I plan to add a hood so I guess it would work?

That's all on ur preference to me
no one but u is going to know and in the end it is ur money
on my 72 I'm going to do two 20 inch reefbrite metal halides hybrids and then in the middle 2 24 inch two bulb t5 fixtures

I will have the best of all three on my tank and I think it will be great

If you're going to run without a chiller then try to limit pumps needed to run reactors, etc to reduce heat.

Plumb a manifold or buy one from used for sprinkler systems like me.

I also like the extra room from the height of 36" of my stand. Some don't like it tall due to reaching into the tank

Think mine is 1". Not sure there's a choice of schedule but it should be easily handle pump pressure for what you plan on 180g.

What's your overflow going to be? Ghost overflow or internal? What size drains and return? Provide a little more details on the new setup plans.

Well I'm just starting to plan. The tank will be a marine land 180 double corner overflow. I was going to use the overflow that comes with it (2 1 in). I'm thinking I'm going to go with a 40 breeder sump and a 15g refugium. I plan to have 2 fresh water storage containers. (12 gallons) I am going to use my 48 In T5 and buy a 24 in . I will also use my 2 48in led strips. I have a DC skimmer and return pump I love. I still need new power heads. I'm not sure what flow rate I need. I'm going to build the stand and canopy. I have about 100LG of live rock and I plan to buy or make at least 50 more.
