How do you control the po4?
Super nice!

Since past 3 years I have been running bio-pellets. That keeps the PO4 in control. I use EcoBak.

amazing tank. I'm sure you already covered this but could you repost your light configuration for the DT?

The tank was all LED till Oct 2015. I changed to T5 after that and it is all T5 now for past 1 year.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Sunny's tank in person. And, it is really spectacular. I think the photo posted on 9/27 does justice for the corals. But it does not do justice for the collection of fish he has in that tank. You'd need a 20 minute video to see most of them - there's a lot of hiding and swimming space in the reef structure itself.
I would love to see a video!

New tank shots

Love the Aussie Blue Blaze in the center and Sunny's Purple rising on the top left.

Awesome setup. I'm actually looking at the exact same tank dimensions. What do you think of the depth front to back and height? Would you change it at all?

Also, is the 40 gallon fuge big enough?

There is no magic trick with LED or T5. I ran LED for 5 years with great results. My LED started to die and I had 10 of them. Last October I had a choice to make a) drop 5K on another 10 LED or b) try T5. I decided to go T5.

Facts

LED save electricity and are brighter. They also morph corals to unknown colors/growth patterns. Not all SPS like LED but majority do well under them.
T5 heat up the tank. They provide the best color and growth for SPS. You have to change bulbs.

So it is a personal choice of what you want.

Hope this helps.
