hmm..kept the solon in an acclimation box inside the tank for 4 days..after some intitial aggression from the blueline..the blueline ignored it..I let them out and for the last 3 days they have swam together like best friends..then all of ansudden tonight bam..he chasedbthe solon around untilnit jumped into the overflow..?

I'd put him back in, usually wrasse's do show aggression in the beginning.. Mine always terrorize the new guy for a few days but everything eventually simmers down, they are just establishing there "pecking order"...

Just tried to see if I had a pic in my phone and I don't. He is really fast but I will take a pic tomorrow. I had to go through 3 before I got one to finally eat. He is a pig now and takes away food from the tangs even.

The Red Solon wrasse is one of the more passive wrasse's..
Not necessarily; and if you get a mean one they can be quite nasty.

sorry server went down..I have a blue line flasher and the same wrasse as in Chort55 's 2nd pic I guess its a red solon..
That's actually Cirrhilabrus cyanopleura; that color variant is known as the "Ruby Head".

Some chasing is normal, and it sounds like did the right type of introduction. However, despite our best efforts, sometimes you'll end up with a particular specimen that simply won't tolerate others.

Thanks M&T, your collection is amazing. That Kuiteri looks a lot different than last time I saw it. I haven't taken any pics of mine yet, she's tiny though.

Yeah, definitely heading to male now. Did you nab that one from Kevin a few weeks ago Brett? A little mad at myself for not picking her up.

P. octotaenia, couldn't get a great one of him:

H. timorensis, male:

And the corresponding H. timorensis, female. These pair are a lot of fun, they take turns chasing each other in courting circles throughout the day:

And they're a great example of sexual dichromatism most genera of labroids have.
