Hey everyone!

So I am posting this thread to give me about a top 10 list of top zoanthids to look for when I am in my local fish stores? I currently have colonies of Pink zippers, Atomic reds, Absolute oranges, Rastas, Candy apple Reds, Jokers, and Pink elephants. So here comes my request. Would some of you post a list of your favorite zoanthids so I can start to acquire some more interesting zoanthids in order to increase my diversity in my tank.

Thanks,
KennyG

I would recommend picking ones that look nice to you since you will be looking at it daily. But if you are going to invite me over for a beer or something i would liketo see blue rhinos, blueberry fields, all the hornets, jf bloodshots, whammin watermelons, scrambled eggs and a lemon lime burst.

Lunar eclipses look nice, and bam bams are classics. Im typically not a fan of many of the over priced zoas Id rather wait a few months for prices to go down.. cough cough hornets. But +1 its all what you like to see. My favorite colony is my Eagle eyes, I have about 200+polyps, yes theyre plain and cheap but I love them!

Hornets have been around for awhile, price isn't really gonna go change on them much

It's very subjective which are top ten.

Thanks for all the post ladies and gents! So now, would you say it would be easier to acquire most of these on the forum or through my lfs? Also whats the going rate per polyp of the following zoas?

Lunar Eclipse
Jokers
Atomic Reds
Absolute oranges
Candy apple Reds
Rastas
Pink elephants
Pink Zippers

Just a ball park number would be great. Nothing to inflated or low balled. Thanks!

I think I paid $20 for 5 polyps of Lunar Eclipses, and about $25 for 15 heads of Everlasting gobstoppers. Candy apple reds Iv seen 4 polyps for $25. Check out Myreeftoyours.com Hes probably the cheapest dealer Iv seen.
