What was your first coral? | Tank Talk Thursday

1 head of Candy Cane bought 5yrs ago. At 60+ heads I finally fragged it down to about 20 heads which are all doing great.

Kenya tree, candy canes and a mushroom. I still have the mushroom and the kenya tree =) Those were given to me for free, first coral I bought was a frogspawn.

She tries to drop branches but 90% of the time I get them before they leave the colony, a few have escaped but I found them before they took hold. I am actually thinking of writing an article about how to keep a kenya tree without babies popping up everywhere.

I don't know if it was the dry rock, or just plain luck, but I have managed to avoid aiptasia issues so far (knock on wood). Did you get them under control or have to start over?
