Hey guys and gals! Who among us is dosing zooxanthellae? I'm curious about what results you might be seeing. I've talked to a couple of vendors and a few hobbyists who do it, and I'm curious about what the community might be seeing. Post your thoughts here.

By the way, I'm referring to products like this one:

Here's an article on it from Reef Builders: https://reefbuilders.com/2013/05/23/algagen-phytopure-zooxanthellae/

I know @CoralNerd does, and I've seen his tank in person. It's got awesome color! ...but I don't know if he's seen results from the zooxanthellae yet (his corals have been awesome for as long as I can remember from having seen his pictures for a while).

It will also be interesting to understand which species of zooxanthellae the product contains. From my understanding, there are different strains which give corals their characteristic coloration and others that yield a browner color in fast-growing corals. I would hope this product contains the types that give lots of

Thanks bud
I don't think my corals colors came via the zooxanthella as I only tried one bottle recently. I'm using AlgaGen but the cost seems to add up pretty quickly with shipping, so I might need to look for alternatives If i want to keep dosing.

Yeah. I was thinking you had said it was your first bottle (and your colors have been great long before that).
