Yellow tang question

I woke up this morning and noticed the white stripe down the side of my yellow tang. Not sure if this is normal or if it is something, figured I'd throw it up and ask. Thanks for the help.

I think it comes with age. My yellow tang is 8 years old and just got that stripe a couple years ago. Make sure you give him plenty of seaweed.

Its on yellow tangs either stressed or scared.I believe in wild they use as a defense mechanism

Shouldn't be stressed, nothing has changed in that want since I added a fire shrimp last month. He is still acting normal so I wasn't running to set up a qt, but better safe and ask.

good call on leaving him be, probably would have caused more trouble than good. Mine would always pale out in spots like that but as stated before its pretty natural. I think some clowns do it too
