This is a paly that is known to be finicky. If they're happy, they grow quickly, but they can melt quickly as well. As you can see from the info available, they seem to do well in different tanks under different conditions. What has been your experience (feel free to chime in and share pics)?

I want one of these, but I'm too nervous about them melting to pull the trigger...

I wish the supply of these was a lot higher so the price could come down.

Very finicky doesn't even cut it. 2 for 2 melted within 3 weeks on me. First one never opened. 2nd one was open all the time until one day it decided to flake apart for no apparent reason. Not to mention in my opinion, it is pretty, but I have a lot of no names that are prettier. It's just a green polyp with a little crimson red? I see nothing special but maybe I'm just biased because I can't keep one alive. ;)

I actually swore of these zoas after 2 complete failed attempts... Then i found a guy here selling some at a decent price so i have it a third shot. Whether or not they are original i don't know but they are just as colorful, and are growing well. They are slightly bigger than the last ones i had. In a months time i went from 3p to this. And this is a cell pic with no editing. Couldn't be happier.
