Hi,

I am in Florida near Cocoa Beach where the houses do not have basements?

I have a line on a 225 Gallon tank that I want to set up in a third bedroom of my house on the ground floor.

I do have a 75 Gallon Reef with stand set up on one wall. I want to put up the 225 Gallon on the other wall in the same room, again on the bottom floor and no basement.

Considering the weight of the new 225 Gallon will be around 2300 pounds alone without the weight of the stand. I want to build a cinder block stand for the tank but if course I realize the added weight.

Can my floor (considering it is on the ground floor with no basement) hold these two tanks in this same room without problems or better not chance it?

Amy help that you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Nick

If you are directly on a concrete slab, you should be fine.
