60 Cube Anemone Tank

Im in the process of adding a 60 cube to my existing 125 gallon setup so I wanted to clear up some questions I had before I got to far involved! I am wanting to add 1-2 Gigs or 1-2 Mags to the tank along with a harem of clowns, still haven't decided on which clowns to get. So let me know what you guys think of the equipment I plan on using.

Lighting- Kessil 360 (already have spectral controller) with Aquatic Life Hybrid, 2 Blue Plus, 1 Coral Plus, and 1 Actinic
Flow- 2 Current Usa Eflux 1050 GPH wavemakers

Existing Sump has a Simplicity 240 DC Skimmer, thriving refugium, coralife 36 watt UV sterilizer, Purigen Reactor, dosing Kalk with ATO and magnesium by hand. Nitrates are less than 1pmm and phosphate are below .03 with Salifert kits. Tank has been running for well over a year and has some nice coraline growth.

Im trying to make sure I have the best possible housing for these beautiful anemones as I can, Ive researched it for months! Also where and the world do you guys get your Cipro from!

Seems like you're good to go. Have you followed Melev on YouTube? He's got something similar to what it sounds like you're trying to set up.

Thanks for the reply, Melev is exactly were I got the idea. Just trying to do a mag or gig anemone instead of the bubble tips. I know how hard these anemones are to get started so I guess I am a little hesitant and make sure its done right. Does anyone have a good source for healthy anemones, or even better does someone have an established one they are wanting to get rid of? I usually order from LA and have been extremely happy with their livestock however I have heard they have been having some trouble with their nems lately.

Sounds like a nice set up. I admittedly don’t know much about the species you are interested in, but like the idea of taking the road less traveled.

Its been a slow process but I’m getting there, I figured I would post a few pics to see what you guys thought. Just have the 2 a160’s on there for now. Ended up purchasing a Photon V2 24” from a member on here and plan on hanging it above the tank. I don’t have a par meter yet but what would you guys recommend for a starting point/percentage for the photon V2? I know they can be pretty powerful but I only have Anemones in the tank.

Also here is my new pair of gold nugget maroons I found at my lfs. They had been there for a couple of months and everyone was afraid of them because the female is a little feisty! When I drove over this last time I had made my mind up I was going to buy them if they were still there instead of doing a harem tank.

Guess I’m not doing a harem tank!

Dude! If you want gigs or mags why’d you get maroon clowns? Their natural host is entacmaea equadricolor (bta). Oscellaris clowns go nuts for mags, clarkii’s, skunks, and percs are naturally hosted by gigs……
