I'm looking into getting a larger tank, I really like AIO systems and the use of working on them and have been considering a few different brands. Does anyone know If the redsea max nano XXL have the same failure issues as the g1s and 2? I'm also looking at innovative marines or waterbox. Anyone have any experience with these systems or other recommendations?

I'd avoid red sea. Although I've seldom seen it affect their smaller/AIO tanks, there is an unfortunately prolific history of tank failures. If for no other reason, buy a brand other than red sea to avoid supporting a company that sells "premium" products to reefers that fail prematurely.

What size tank do you want?

Check these out:

Reefcasa: (I bought a couple of these that I haven't found time to set up yet, see my unboxing video below if you wish, full kit of what you need to get started equipment-wise)

Thanks for the links on the reefcasa, I'll have to check it out, currently I have a 4.8 and I just want more space, im thinking like 32 and above, I miss having fish lol. The only reason I was considering redsea was due to never having used their system before and wanting to see how it all communicated on the app. That and I might be able to get a discount since I regularly communicate with the local rep for my store. But those failures really do scare me and I don't like the fact the rep denied them. Not trying to turn this into another redsea bash though.

Innovative marine makes very nice tanks.
TIP: insert a piece of wood into the top section of the rear wall of the stand.
The aluminum is not that thick & if you need to hold or support anything it's a hassle without something inside the opening to grab into.

+1 to Innovative Marine Starter Kits, FijiCube, and Waterbox. I've owned all three and have stuck with IM in the end.

Things to look out for with these tanks (Cons):
Innovative Marine: Glass can scratch easier than Waterbox or FijiCube
Waterbox: Tends to have thinner glass and less sealant in the corner joints
FijiCube: Some purchasers have had tanks arrived damaged

Good things about these tanks (Pros):
Innovative Marine: Well supported throughout the industry, many accessories available, good looking tank
Waterbox: Sump section is a bit larger allowing wider range of fitment
FijiCube: Often runs sales, good value, glass did not scratch while using metal blade Flipper scraper
