Hi!

I'm new here and this is my first post. I set my tank up with live rock from my lfs a couple of weeks ago. This evening I noticed this thing sticking out. Is it Aiptasia? Or some other pest anemone?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

And yes. It is an aptasia.

If you can get the rock back out easily, chip that piece of rock of.

I hope that’s the only one.

Thanks! And thanks for the quick reply. I was pretty sure but not 100%. The rock is pretty much at the top. I hope there aren't any others too!!

Yes, and it looks like there are a few more lurking to the right of that one. You might want to add a peppermint shrimp to the set up after it cycles. Welcome to R2R.

Yea when I moved that rock, I found another one on the rock behind it. They're gone now, but I'll be getting a peppermint shrimp

No worries! And you’re welcome.

Hope it’s the only one too.
