Hello! I’ve had this rbt anemone for about 4 months. Established (3yr) 65 gal tank. Some macro algae grew on the rock above and shaded her spot in the tank so she initially started moving about a week ago. She’s been looking pretty deflated & mad for about 1 1/2 weeks. About 2 weeks ago we moved the power head to a different area of the tank and about 1 week ago we made a water change (15gal) I haven’t feed her in at least 3 weeks. She was moving slowly up the rock towards the macro algae and then suddenly decided last night to book it across the tank and is sitting between two leathers.

im going to try to move her ( if she is easy to pick up) and check water parameters when I get home. I may aim the power head towards her.

any other ideas? Should I rip those leathers off the rock asap when I get home or monitor?

thanks

I tend to think that anemones can move themselves if the need to move, but curious what others will say.
I think this but at the same time I kno leathers can be vicious and can be battling the anemone. My rbta melted any Kenya tree that came near it and at the end I took out all leather corals from my tank

Well unfortunately just about all the corals in the tank are leathers. So hopefully it decides on a spot and stays put .

she’s settled off to the side and hasn’t moved so fingers crossed she will stay. Leathers don’t seem much affected, which is fantastic.
