So I just got an anemone and tried to feed it a half silverside but it won't eat. Thoughts? Too soon to feed it. I just got him today.

It's quite likely that the new anemone is stressed from the move and acclimating to its new environment. If your parameters are up to snuff I wouldn't worry. Give it a few days to adjust and try again.

It's been a day, of course it doesn't look good , let's not panic them lol....in saying that I agree you dont need to feed them, but can do so if you desire, I do once a week, shrimp, scallop or mussel and he keeps on growing gradually over the years.... happy. :)

Might be a bit soon. I have had mine for 3 days and 2 of 4 are hiding. The other two looked good so I offered some mysis shrimp and they didn’t take it. I am guessing it’s still a bit early (someone told me that they can take up to 2 weeks before they are fully ready to eat). So I will wait a couple more days and go from there.

I was wondering the same thing. By the way Pristinereef...how's the new anemone doing so far?
Good or think man. Still not eating but I'm going to try tonight.

Holy cannoli, this thing is fantastic! LTAs are the bomb diggity in my book.

@PristineReef Don't worry too much about it, New nems take a while to adjust to a new tank, and often feeding them too early can stress them even more. Yours appears to be an LTA so try nd find him a good, bright spot in the sand near the base of a rock at least 3" deep, and he should be good to go.
Good luck and God bless!
