Looks like you did pour in place vs. pre-poured, but otherwise I don't think it's that different from what I want to do, which is also in my basement.I poured a concrete top for my 150G tank (https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/brokenreefer’s-150g-build-thread.887862/page-2)
https://concretecountertopsolutions.com/collections/countertop-forms -- this is the product I used. It has reinforcement with a fiberglass mesh that is poured into the form.
My situation might be a bit different than yours given mine is situated within a little alcove in my basement, but I still poured the top 2-yrs ago and it has help up just fine.

I don't know, that looks like it takes actual skill lol! The pre-poured looks a lot more my speedYes, pour in place. It can be done and it really isn’t that complicated. Ensuring a level base is crucial, making sure you take the time to screed and finish properly is also key.
