Yep, I have about 100 of those in my tank right now. Be careful with the Aptasia-X, make sure you're able to get the whole thing when injecting. The ones on top of the rocks are easy to get rid of, but the one in the holes and crevices are the ones that spread. I'd inject them and it looks like they were taken care of but a week later they're back with some friends. I stopped using Aptasia-X and added 10 Berghia Nudibranch a few weeks ago to hopefully take care of my Aptasia problem.

Berghia are good but after the aiptasia are gone... They start to die off which can take a toll on your tank if you don't catch them, not to mention Berghia Nudi's are ***** expensive. I'd say get about 5-10 peppermint shrimp and you should be good.

I might also recognize the good/bad aspects of a file fish. Went to town on my aptasia and the little zombie (always appeared like a half dead fish to me) would also eat pellets, flakes and other foods once the aptasia were gone, which I was told they may or may not do. However, despite his varying appetite to eat anything he also liked my Hammer, Frog spawn and there wasn't a plate I could put in that he didn't find tasty. Didn't realize it was him until I saw him going after my Zoas one day in broad daylight! He went back to the LFS.

Once the Nudis are done in the DT I'll move them to the fuge to take care of the Aptasia in there, then pass them on to another reefer who can use them. Tried Peppermint before but they only lasted a couple of days with my Melanurus. The only reason I'm trying the Nudis is they're nocturnal and my Wrasse is buried in the sand before the lights go out and is the last fish out in the morning so their chances of meeting are very slim.

If the Nudis fail the Filefish is my last hope but stories like this have me worried.

This would be a good place to start. They are easier to catch if they go rogue. Let me tell you about my pocillopora and Galexea my Aptasia eating PS nearly destroyed. LOL I seem to have a lot of trouble and success at the same time with these aptasia control methods. Peppermint is now doing time in the fuge but I can bust him out if needed again. :)
