Are these feather dusters?

Two of the frags an acan and alveopora has some white long tube with a feather coming out at the end and when I touch it, they retract. Are these feather dusters and should I leave it? Not sure if they’re bothering the corals. I took these pictures at different times, the alveopora in the morning when its not out yet to see the tube easier.

At the moment it doesnt seem to bother it, I think when it grows bigger it might so I'm thinking if I should do something about it now while it's still small.

Are the tubes hard or somewhat flexible? Feather dusters are rarely a problem, but if you want to remove them, they should come off easily with tweezers. You can even let them float around the tank and settle somewhere else if you want to keep them.

Are the tubes hard or somewhat flexible? Feather dusters are rarely a problem, but if you want to remove them, they should come off easily with tweezers. You can even let them float around the tank and settle somewhere else if you want to keep them.

it’s flexible. I’ve had vermitid before and definitely does not feel like that. I’ll leave it be for now.

They're feathers, sorry I can't get a clear picture even when I use orange/yellow filters, I'll need to experiment more which filter works best. When looking at it in person they're definitely feather like.

I brought in dusters on a frag several years ago and my tank is full of them now. Sometimes they stay put but they can also spread. I like them, so I don't really care, but some people don't care for them... Just an FYI.
(There is even one growing on a candy cane... There are a ton of them on the colony skeleton, but there's a teeny tiny one that settled on the polyp and just stayed, lol. The coral is still fine, not bothered and is even splitting, but that shows you how industrious they can be!)

That's cool! I'm still new to the hobby, only 8 months in. These feather dusters are interesting, I'll keep them around and see. Almost bought a large size from the LFS 2 months ago. I wasn't sure if they're bothering the corals but they seem fine which is why I was asked and just to confirm if they're feather dusters since it took me by surprise they were hidden for so long and came out of nowhere. I don't know how they got there in the first place, never see any signs of them until the past 3 weeks. Thanks for sharing, puts me at eased.
