Is there a formula to figure out how much salt water needs to be auto changed per day to keep up with alk demand if my 24 gallon tank is using approximately 1dkh / day of alk

If that’s unreasonable to keep up with the demand can you calculate how much kalk or soda ash etc to add to the awc vat to reduce needed Doser pumps

It’s doable but would get expensive real quick! It’s best to dose it and cheapest… plenty of calculators out there if you wanna play.
It’s not to save money per say just that it’s a small tank and I’m gone for weeks at a time so it’s just easier for me to mix say 30 gallons if 1/gal day will keep up

Then it is impossible (except 100% daily).

If alk demand is 1 dKH per day, you need to change 50% daily with water that is 2 dKH higher than the tank.
