What are the effects of a ball anemone on a coral, I think negative and I think I'm seeing an effect on my ricordea. How should I remove it? The ricorea has attached itself to the rock and has been acting strange (curled in, very unusual for him, hes very healthy and almost always open). He is growing right where the ricordea normally unfolds. It may be something else though, my duncan coral is also acting strange with tentacle retraction.
The anemone itself is red in coral and I actually thought he was a baby ricordea (and I was very happy), but because of a significantly different disc-to-tentacle ratio I'm going with ball anemone, I'll post pics later

This is what he looks like (but this isn't mine). What should I do?

If you can get the 'nem to move to his own spot, that would be about best ... I have one, somewhere, who's given zero trouble ... but he's not next to anything else.

Otherwise, you might consider Aiptasia-X (though be careful not to get any on the ricordea!), trying to remove the 'nem manually, perhaps with a blade or old credit card, or epoxying / supergluing over it.
