I added a mushroom and leather coral in my unheated one gallon jar lit by a 6500K freshwater light about two weeks ago, and both seem to be doing fine. The mushroom is always fully open in the day, while the leather is a bit more temperamental but does have some of its polyps extended much of time. I am headed to my freshwater LFS soon, and I wanted to get some frozen food for my tropical fish. I am just wondering what would be a good pick that I could also feed corals with. They currently have in stock brine shrimp, cyclops, rotifers, krill, and "microplankton". Any suggestions?

My suggestion would be brine shrimp or cyclops. You're going to want to mix it up though.

Absolutely mix it with some saltwater for it to defrost and that should create enough small pieces for the corals to nab.

So, I picked up some cyclops and something called microplankton mix. Maybe the second will help feed pods, feather dusters, etc as well.
Oh and it turns out that even though it's a freshwater store, they have a small reef display, and the guy was nice enough to snip a small piece of gorgonian off for me. So I'm getting my first fragging experience, too!
