If I take a piece of rock that has bubble algae on it and put it in a dark air tight bucket for a year, would those bubble algae spores still be alive (like a plant seed)?

After a year, if I put that rock a brand new clean system, would the bubble algae come back?

Bubble algae always comes. I say appreciate it as an enrichment for you. At least for me it is. I like to pop them.
