Carnation coral question and id on the pink things

So i purchased a carnation coral today big one how hard are they to keep and i also have this pink thing on my rock

They can be difficult to keep requiring low light and moderate to high water movement. They do not possess any zooxanthellae so they require constant feedings. I would also like to know what the growths are on your live rock though. I have them all over. I assumed they were either a sponge or some type of branching Coralline algae.

Ok i have some questions on the carnation coral so i picked one up yesterday its been fine but it has like bent over a couple times and it up the majaority of the time why is this happeining
70 gallon tank with 30 gallon sump protein skimmer,media reactor,phosphate pad,carbon pad,chito and macro algae growing and live rock in the sump filter sock as well as a powerhead.

I also had done a water change in thge tank not to big 20 gall yesterday.from the pic it already almost standing all the ways back up now.

Nothing wrong with it bending.
Researching the corals you buy is a great virtue. These things have proven to be nearly impossible to keep.
But if you can keep this one alive, it will really brighten up your tank for sure! :)

i dont know if its getting spooked by the fish

It almost looks like it deflates as for it being nearly impossible to keep i have alot of flower pot corals and i frag them as well with good success and people say impossible to keep them.It was an impulse buy my local lfs just got an order and they let me pick what i wanted first.

Ok so we finally figured out what was bothering the carnation coral the lights are 2 strong so i tucked under a cave like structure and he gets water movement and shade hes a happy camper no more sagging.So i just have 1 light turn off for a couple hours 24hr cycle
