That I have. Even have trident and keep it stable. My other chalice and my sps grow well.Keeping stable alk and 400 cal will promote stony coral growth.

My Bubblegum Monster chalice was stalled out for 6 months. It seemed like it wouldn’t spread off the plug, but was adding mouths. One day my goby snarfed a bunch of food off it and took most of the flesh with it. I moved it to a safe place to recover for a couple weeks, and then reglued it back in place.
Within a couple weeks it had spread off the plug and now it’s taking off. I do feed it nearly every day (Mysis shrimp and LRS Reef Frenzy) and give It plenty of time to eat. Good luck, yours is a very colorful one.
Turn off all the pumps, feed the fish first, and then target feed some mysis or other meaty food to the chalice, as close to a mouth as possible. Do what you need to to keep the fish from taking the food, and just watch . It's a neat thing to see!How do you
feed a chalice? I never saw them eat! Can you visually see it eat or does it just soak into the flesh or what? i have never noticed any feeding activity with mine
That's a "favia", not a chaliceI actually never thought to feed a chalice until coming on to R2R to read about Raja Rampage. After starting to target feed it Reefroids and LRS broken up it seems to grow a new mouth every couple days!!
Stability is still the king but feeding has absolutely accelerated its growth!
The next chalice I want is Jelly Bean Favia
That’s what I meant, but similar looking growth pattern correct? I called it a favia lol just called it wrong before thatThat's a "favia", not a chalice
