I recently bought 2 hydra 26 led light for my 40 breeder and thinking about using my Chinese led box for the fuge. I currently have a par 38 light on my fuge now and seem to be getting really slow growth. Would a Chinese black box do the job better? Should I use blue and white or just whites for the chaeto?

These two pictures are 7 months of chaeto growth.

Change that par 38. You should have corraline like mad under a decent full spectrum light.
If you don’t have corraline with the BB don’t bother. You have other issues.

Also a fwiw , most B.B. at 1% in both channels are close to 200 par at 12in. Don’t fry your chato.

This btw is what chato wants.

I have corraline in the dt with the black box , so I should keep the bb at 1% for chaeto?
