A couple videos.

I posted earlier in fish disease forum with different title but didn’t get a large amount of feedback. Hoping someone who may specialize in clowns can offer some advice or course of action for me.

Heavy breathing. White string like feces hanging out. Hiding underneath and behind the red BTA.
This change in behavior was very sudden. Fine this morning and then started acting like this.
9+ other fish in tank and all are behaving normally.

Ocellaris clownfish are a pair and I have had them for 6 months. They share the anemone, which is a recent addition. This is the larger of the two and I believe to be the established female.
It is a voracious eater and I was initially concerned it may be constipated. But I was advised that the symptoms seem more severe than that.

Again, very sudden change in behavior.

I researched that clownfish become female mentally long before the genitals change and that it often takes around 6 months (how long they’ve been a pair now).
I’m not sure if this physical change is stressful on the fish or if that’s a possibility as to what’s happening.

The research helped me realize that I also noticed typical clownfish mating behavior just yesterday. The shaking dance from both of them. So I’m not sure if this is related to that either?

Just hoping it’s not something intestinal.

I am still learning about everything. That seems possible. The other clown has been going to check on her periodically and chases other fish away from the nem. I just wasn’t sure if it was normal to be breathing so fast.
I don't know? I have never done it underwater, although I had a dive partner who seemed willing back when I was getting, um, certified. :face-with-hand-over-mouth:
