my lfs says it looks like flukes so he recommended a fresh water dip cant treat the tank as it a mixed reef as far as qt don’t have another tank to treat him as far as the fresh water dip did it yesterday and don’t seem to see anything on him but will keep a close eye on him and the others as well
Has there been any change since Sunday? If more spots or if they are growing larger, you could treat with antibiotics. If the fish is stable, you might want to wait it out.so what could it be and should i worry and take him out dont see this on any other fish and they have been there longer than him
Would cipro or Nitrofurazone work as well?Circular lesions like that are usually bacterial. Think about how bacteria grows on a petri dish.
Did they show up gradually, are they increasing in number and size?
If treatment is needed, you would need to move the tang to a treatment tank and dose with a broad spectrum. gram negative antibiotic like Neomycin of Kanamycin.

Cipro might work, nitrofurazone is a bit trickier to use in marine tanks. I’d have to look up the cipro dose though…Would cipro or Nitrofurazone work as well?
I typically use 250mg of cipro per gallon of water for a one to two hour dip.Cipro might work, nitrofurazone is a bit trickier to use in marine tanks. I’d have to look up the cipro dose though…
