Noticed these marks on my vlamingi tang today got him from my local lfs store 2 months months ago he’s swimming great and eating but looking at these marks on his. Body is bothering me should I worry?

The fish medics also seem to prefer 20-30 second video under white light to observe fish behavior when diagnosing.

under white lights dont see anything just his pattern on his body weird ill try and get pics of him seems to hide under white lights

Circular lesions like that are usually bacterial. Think about how bacteria grows on a petri dish.

Did they show up gradually, are they increasing in number and size?

If treatment is needed, you would need to move the tang to a treatment tank and dose with a broad spectrum. gram negative antibiotic like Neomycin of Kanamycin.

my lfs says it looks like flukes so he recommended a fresh water dip cant treat the tank as it a mixed reef as far as qt don’t have another tank to treat him as far as the fresh water dip did it yesterday and don’t seem to see anything on him but will keep a close eye on him and the others as well

Flukes don't cause circular lesions like that. There is a rare copepod parasite that does cause a sort of blanching around where they bite the fish.

Has there been any change since Sunday? If more spots or if they are growing larger, you could treat with antibiotics. If the fish is stable, you might want to wait it out.

Cipro might work, nitrofurazone is a bit trickier to use in marine tanks. I’d have to look up the cipro dose though…

I typically use 250mg of cipro per gallon of water for a one to two hour dip.

Can you expand your point on Nitrofurazone? I thought it’s a commonly used anti-bacterial med and common meds like fura-2 or the green powder from fish pharma has it as a main ingredient.

Not the meds I mentioned. They are to be used in QTs.
