I'm quiet concerned about my clownfish. This morning it ate normally and now it's not eating tonight when I took a closer look at it noticed some off pinkish white colors on the scales. Its behavior has been relatively normal, maybe a little less energetic like usual, but the white dots do bother me.

You post a you tube version video. I have codec and this is not working.
A couple still pics under white light intensity will also be helpful

How long have you had him? Any new fish introduced recently?

It looks like the start of brook to me

I've had the large black one for close to a year probably if not a year and a half. The little clown next to em was introduced just yesterday.

That’s a tough one - the discrete white spots pretty much scream ich, but the rapid breathing and stilted swimming isn’t a symptom of ich at this stage. So - this is either Brooklynella or it is ich and velvet mixed at the same time (ugh).

The clown in the background didn’t seem to have symptoms yet, but it’s been exposed and will need treatment also. What other animals are in the tank? Do you have a treatment tank available?

I have a coral beauty, Zebra turbo snails, a pencil urchin, and a pistol shrimp. Unfortunately I do not have treatment tank.

I see secondary bacterial lesions often a member of brooklynella disease.
Mucus generally starts at the facial area as well as gills and spreads across the body producing lesions as it progresses often confused with ich and can turn into secondary bacteria. Other symptoms will be lethargic behavior, refusing to eat and heavy breathing from the mucus.
Start with a prolonged 60 minute bath of ruby rally pro then at a lower concentration in a quarantine tank. The longer the fish are exposed to the treatment, the more effective it will be at eliminating this issue.
Since a formalin solution is often not available for use, temporary relief can be achieved by giving the fish a FW bath or dip in water same temperature as display tank. Even though this treatment will not cure the disease, it can help to remove some of the parasites, as well as reduce the amount of mucus in the gills to assist with respiration problems.
Treatment is best done in a QT tank using either quick cure (more effective but now harder to find) or Ruby Rally Pro. Ruby takes a little longer and initial treatment generally takes 2-3 days to really start going to work.
