While fragging my duncan I accidentally smashed the stalk of it, the duncan is literally encrusted onto the plug, no signs of glue I know everyone is saying it isn't possible but I don't know what else to say it is litterally growing around the base of the plug any way will this coral live through the loss of its flesh as you can see on the left, the white spot
I feel bad that I hurt this coral because of my lack of proper tools and research, I will do anything to help it out!

At this stage, why not just leave it be as is, and hope for the best - I'm told that Duncans are quite resilient such that if one head gets cuts off 'accidently', it'll grow back right away. You can't do anymore harm than good now, so I'd say leave it.

If this is true, that the flesh has encrusted over the glue, then leave it alone. It will pull thru. Very rarely have I seen the flesh grow downward. Normally I see the flesh stop as the skeleton grows up to form the longer flesh off the head itself. You're doing something right. I say leave it alone.
