I want to try and get my hands on a dwarf golden eel at some point to live in my biocube and don't want to spend all that money for something that's gonna become fish jerky, so does anyone have any input on how to eelproof a biocube 29?

It's the standard biocube cover, I don't see it escaping through the front, I'm just worried about it getting into the back chamber and getting stuck or opening the lid there

Lowes makes some plastic gutter guard that works great in sealing up overflows, that and some zip ties.

Here's a pic, as you can see there is mesh between, this was for when my chainlink was smaller. They do make without the mesh and that's what I've gone 2 now.

Go to hobby lobby or similar and get a sheet of plastic long enough to go across the back wall, or use pieces. Cut the plastic to go at the top wall in the back so that when the top is closed it will make a tight fit. Super glue it to the back wall. I doubt that type of eel is going to push through the closed lid, if you are worried about that you could place some type of weight on it.
