First real aquascape attempt

When I first set up the rocks in my tank I had no idea what to do. Kinda just layed stuff around. But now I have clowns who need an arch to swim thru and burrowing fish who need more burrows. So I bought more rocks and made a real attempt with putty. Compared to what it was before I’m very pleased. Opinions? (The glass has been cleaned since I took this pic lol)

The tallest rock is almost an island, so any coral you place up there might grow out of the tank.

Otherwise, is the structure secure so I can't topple when I come to help you clean and bump into it and cause an earthquake?

Not sure I’d put coral all the way up there lol. If I had coral I’d wait for a larger tank. It is pretty tall but the clowns seem to light the height.

I like it. I really like that you used the flat shelf rock. I regret not using any in my build but there's always next time.

I bet that firefish will hang in the rocks the whole time!!! Looks good. How big is your tank??

Omg yes zippy (the firefish) is loving it. It’s 13.5 gallons

My dad insisted putting it there. When doing the demo I kept forgetting it but he made sure to keep it up there lol. The photo is at a low angle so tbf it looks a bit higher than it is. It’ll help me keep track of evaporation

Haha I just noticed that. I don't know how I missed it. It looks like a cave/tunnel for something. If you zoom in it looks like something is living in it.

It’s a little tunnel for the burrowing fish. I mostly got it for the fire fish cuz my watchman goby and pistol shrimp kept using the firefish cave to sleep in. Their cave entrances were facing each other, so sometimes they scared each other. Just wanted to give whichever fish decided to use it their own little place.

It’s a little tunnel! The firefish was the one using it previously but now it seems bert and Ernie (watchman goby and pistol shrimp) have decided to hunker down for a while.
