This is sort of a piggy back off of the thread fish in lots of tanks you think are just ugly. I really like mandarin gobies and lionfish. What do you think?

Leopard Wrasse are one of my favorites. Not only are they visually stunning, they are 100% reef compatible and peaseful. In addition, they will happily search the tank from lights on to lights off looking for little pest to munch on.

Crosshatch and clown triggers come to mind, although I am not sure if they are in "lots" of tanks.

For fish more commonly found in our tanks, +1 on leopard wrasses, especially the female blue star leopards!

That is not a Mandarin pair. Rather, it is two males that are fighting The smaller male have his spike broke off. Beautiful fish.

I'd have to disagree.
This is a real female, and below is the picture of the fish we are talking about. Too bad we don't have the owner here who can chime in and certified that it is two male that he is having fishting. One will be remove soon after the picture taken I am sure of it. Not only the shape of the first dorsal fins are different, as we can easily see, the fins over all are proportionally smaller, if only very slightly so. BTW, the picture is not my picture but one from the internet.
