SCIENTIFIC NAME - Ostracion cubicus
COMMON NAME - Cube Boxfish (Yellow Boxfish)
SIZE - 17.7" (45 cm)
MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 180 US Gal. (681 L)
FOODS AND FEEDING - Varied diet, Marine meaty foods, chopped shrimp, squid, clams, fish, Mysid shrimp, enriched freeze dried krill, herbivore preparations containing marine algae. Feed minimum 3 times a day.
REEF AQUARIUM COMPATIBILITY - Not reef compatible.
CAPTIVE CARE - Do not feed floating foods (fish may ingest air at the surface), usually compatible with tank mates that are non aggressive, needs plenty of swimming room, frighten of sudden movements house in a low traffic area, can be kept in pairs, may release toxins when dying, any dying Boxfish must be removed or prevent it from being harassed by tank mates. This fishes toxins can wipe out an entire tank.
