I have had this male percula clown since I was in high school (1997). He is on his second wife with me.

I have an occelaris clownfish I got in 2007 (16+ years old), she is still kicking and breeding in the tank with her 2nd mate, got him in 2013 (10 years old). My next longest lived fish I had was a Melanaurus wrasse for 6 years, had to have been much older since he was full grown at sale. My biggest shocker was having a single bumblebee snail live 9 years until a tank crash took out everything but the clowns.

I have a yellow tang that I got in the previous century. I imagine she is about 25 years old. Also have two mated clown fish that I got in 2003, so 20+ there. Been through multiple tanks and one crash. The yellow tang is missing part of its rail and dorsal fin is mostly gone. Been that way for years.

The vast majority of fish we keep live over 10 years in a tank. The only ones that don't are small bleenies, pipefish, seahorse and Bangai Cardinals which have a natural lifespan of about 4 years.

Most fish that stay pretty small have shorter lifespans.

I have two fireclowns over 30 years old and my mandarins, copperband, hippo tang and many others lived or are still living over at least ten years. :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

This Janss Pipefish lived for 7 years which is about it's lifespan.

These smaller bluestripe pipes only live about 5 or 6 years.

I have a 15+ year old Ocellaris clown, that has survived numerous week long power outages, temporary tanks, etc… the only fish I’ve named (I’m superstitious that naming a fish is the mark of death), Charlie (who is actually a Charlene now since I introduced a mate). I also have a Powered Blue Tang that is about 11 years old. I recently lost a Coral Beauty Angel that had just reach 10.

I have a pair of GSM clowns that have been with me 24 years. Probably about a year old when I got them.
Had a Coral Beauty for about 14 years and a Flame Angel for about 12 years. No idea what they died from.
One day they were fine, the next day,,,,,,,,,,

@Dburr1014 Haha don’t have to, pretty sure it will still be alive next year. You added a second one right? How are your two Grammas getting along? You also have a Sunburst Anthias?
Yes, I added the second one and they get along great. Once in a while the mouths are open at each other but mostly they swim together.

Unfortunately my anthias disappeared one night. Out swimming one day and gone the next. These things happen I guess.

Just a couple months ago lost my pink spotted watchman goby... I got him in 2005 and he may have been a few years old at the time.

I have several others that are over 10 years:
scopas tang is at least 11
Talbott's damsel is over 10
Chromis (just 1) is over 10
Caribbean spotted hawk is over 10
Foxface is probably 11 (was quite small when I bought it 10 years ago this month!)

Also have 3 other tangs that are 8+ years old currently (naso, lieutenant, pyroferus).
