I have a single aiptasia that is haunting me. It’s on a acan frag that 3 main polyps but underneath the main heads has new acan polyps all around it . I have aiptasia x but afraid that will only make it spread or kill my baby polyps . Suggestions ? I’m not willing to give up my nice frag but the aiptasia scares me even more

It will spread if you do nothing. I have heard good things about F Aiptasia from Frank's Tanks. You could also try peppermint shrimp. I would treat it and let the acan recover if it is burned or damaged versus leaving it alone.

If it's just one and protecting your scans is your priority, I would try going the biological route first. This includes nudis, filefish, the aforementioned peppermint shrimp, or Copperband Butterfly if you're daring. The absolute worst thing you could do is nothing.

Started with 2 small ones . One on this acan and another on a zoa frag. I used aiptasia x and both disappeared to only reappeared with 2 new small ones. It pained me to throw away that zoa frag but it had 2 medium size aip growing on it. The zoa was growing new heads everywhere too :(

I think this is the last aiptasia in my tank and it’s growing too. Probably spread if I don’t do anything
