The Granulated Sea Star is a visually striking and peaceful addition to a marine aquarium. With its gentle temperament and scavenging habits, it can thrive in larger, well-maintained tanks. Proper acclimation, stable water conditions, and supplemental feeding are key to ensuring its health and longevity in captivity. Its large size and unique look make it a standout species, particularly in reef or fish-only setups. Granulated Sea Stars are omnivores and scavengers, feeding on detritus, algae, and small invertebrates found on live rock or the substrate. In an aquarium, they will benefit from supplemental feeding, especially in less established tanks. Feedings of Nutramar Complete Pellets and Nori will help support their continued health.
