Green staghorn turning even greener or dying?

I have a green staghorn that is turning even greener. It looks to me like the tissue is falling off and the bone is green?

This is a recent event past few days and I don’t think algae would occupy the bone that quickly so I’m ruling that out.

The left branch at the bottom you can see some bits of the old green.

When my green stag RTN’d and blue stag STN’d, the skeleton was white and obviously dead in both cases. And I am very proficient at growing algae! Doubt it’s algae if it just happened. The texture also just looks different between healthy flesh and algae covered skeleton.

When my other SPS RTN or STN on me, the first thing that covered them were coralline.

But in this case, if the tissue indeed fell off, why is it green?

That’s dead skeleton. I’d bet it’s the same type of algae as film algae that’s grown in.
