How to frag fungia plate coral?

I have this fungia that was stung by a bta. It died off and now has multiple babies growing off it. The largest are about nickel size. Can I just break these bigger ones off the skeleton? Should I let them get a little bigger first?

When they're ready they should come off on their own.
If most of them make it, you have a decent amount of reefing currency there. Valuable for trading or selling.

Yes just get a super small flat head screw driver. And pop them off. Just for others a little FIY... getting a bubble tip Nemo to sting slipper tongue and plate corals is how you get them to spawn like this.old prop trick.

I've seen one of these in person and they do just sorta slide off on their own. My buddy has sold or traded an absolute crazy amount because his just keeps producing. It seems to only happen when it's damaged. In his case, a rock fell on the plate and damaged it.

I have never seen them like that! I am a major sucker for baby plates. The LFS even calls when they have them. Lol

How long was it dead before they were noticeable? Ive unfortunately got 2 plate skeletons in my tank I’m hoping do the same.
