Hello so it looks like the over flow has a durso system but honestly is it super noisy and I am thinking it might be something else. What else can help to make the system quieter as the fiah tank is in the living room and in order for the kids to hear the TV the volume has to be turn up higher. It looks like I might have an adjustable durso from what I heard is that it will be hard to make the single line more quieter and what I can do is convert the durao and buy a maggie muffler. Has any tried it?if i do that how will i be able to remove the durso?Attach as some picture and trying to put a video.

Honestly, if you can run the return over the back, that’s your best bet and will create a silent tank. You’ll use a Herbie overflow. Make the 3/4” hole your main siphon and then the 1” hole your emergency.

You will be glad you did. Dead silent once setup and tuned.

I thought of that but I won't be able to do that as my tank is positioned by my stairs and is double side meaning you can see thru as you are coming up the stairs and I wouldn't be able to hide the return.
