Hi all! This tank has been up and running a year and a half, I just assumed this was coralline all over the place but it’s white! Has anyone had a similar experience? It’s not causing me any issues, just curious. Thanks!!

Coralline won't take off unless you put a LR with it well established in among the other LRs....and you dint bleach it out with too much PAR

That looks like cyano, the rock is still "green", IME it has to first turn green before purple.

What's your params? Specifically alk, ph, and cal.

Hi! Thanks for the responses. This specific tank has been running for 1.5 years but is super low biolod, bare bottom anemone tank. Alk is 7. Ph is always 8-8.2, calcium like 380. Im mostly curious about the white dots because I think they are encrusting algae. They’ve always been white, came in white, and are ALL over the rocks

Not familiar with the white stuff but alk and cal is a bit low so increasing them to 8 and 450 should help with coraline. Seeding it with some scraping from another tanks coraline, or a live coraline seeding bottle, should also help it spread.
