Just looking for some inspiration on a basement sump! Will be setting up a larger system and am going to be putting the sump in the basement. Let’s see what you have!

6’ 125 gallon repurposed as a sump. Simple as it gets.

Was actually considering this option! I won’t be buying a fancy sump by any means. Was either going to use a tank or I have a 300 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank I was thinking about using as well. Very nice.

Our house goes up for sale on Monday. Obviously we haven’t found a house we are buying yet so don’t know the layout. Do you think it’s doable if I can’t place sump right under tank? Just trying to get an idea here.

Yes. Many have them a short distance from directly under the DT. Very doable.

I figured just trying to get an idea on what these return pumps in our hobby can handle. Thank you

Assuming you are staying "in state" you will have a basement and yes, lateral runs are totally doable. Finished basement ceilings add a bit to the tally but just be sure to over specify all the plumbing so you don't have to reopen the ceiling.

Plenty of good pumps to solve for head pressure. Just keep a spare.

Sounds good and yup just moving across town to a nicer house.
